FROM THE BROMSGROVE STANDARD NEWSPAPER

CONSERVATIVE: Councillor and Leader Roger Holingsworth states the SILENT MAJORITY are happy with his services to us all, well as from this week 27th March 2009, we will copy just one or maybe two if real anger is shown, letters per week onto this page, you can then see for yourself, are there that many SILENT that have now joined the LOUD MAJORITY LIST??..who said he was unrelentingly pompous??>here<Who says he likes it all his own way??--like-'BLOCK ALL CALLS!!!'--Roger Dear fellow, as I said in my communications to you of late, you and your council will surely get your comeuppence very soon when the electors give you your full and final answer!?-The Tory banner is now very frail indeed and votes will fly everywhere come next election where after you will discuss your triumphs in the back room of your local pub, but all you will have to listen to you is the mirror on the wall??-you can still write to the Bromsgrove Standard though and complain you have beeen unfairly described by the normal people of Bromsgrove?

High Street

is disgrace

So we have been asked what we think of Bromsgrove High Street now it has half a dozen market stalls? Rearranging the deck chairs on The sinking Titanic comes to mind. It reminds me of third world countries I went to over 50 years ago. The high street is a total disgrace. Still, when we have a council whose main preoccupation is to see how much more council taxpayers money they can stuff into their pockets, then no one should be surprised, roll on the election -June 6 - D-day, the start of a complete clear-out, go to it folks.

Wrong date for election

03 April 2009

The date, which I gave in my last letter as to the upcoming election, was wrong - I obtained the date from the official minutes of the meeting that took place at Bromsgrove Council House. The date should have been June 4. So if the council is unable to get a thing like that correct, then it may go some way to explain why it received the assessment it did. Roger Hollingworth sounded so excited about it, but he needs to understand on a scale of one to ten, the council did not make it onto the scale. The set-back to the recycling of the green waste will not help them either - the failure to persuade people to join the £30 green bin scheme. Had the scheme been set up properly, it would have benefited all householders and the environment and would have been self-financing. Once more, Bromsgrove Council seized defeat from the jaws of victory. To add to their pathetic track record, what council says it has no money to provide simple basic low-cost facilities for the disabled, then turns around and spends thousands of council tax money to buy gym equipment - just what the people of Bromsgrove need? Never mind they are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and put food on the table in the worst recession in living memory. The sooner both the Tory and Labour parties are consigned to history the better.
