CLENT INDEPENDENT

HERE'S YOUR MOCK ELECTION-JUST FOR FUN!!-NO DETAIL TAKEN FROM YOU AT ALL, ALL ANONYMOUS..HAVE A BALL DAY EVERYONE??

Stan Francis is standing as an Independent in the Worcs County Elections this year 4th June 2009 in CLENT HILLS Div:

1997 Labour brought in cabinet decision making of just a handful of people in councils that wanted to take it up, this has proved not to work for the people, but does work handsomely for a political party in power-this therefore creates a closed council!

39 councillors elected at a council election and only 8 are hand picked to make the decisions..often only 3 take part and if no agreements, then one does and that's the leader and I feel this is illegal. Many meetings the public are barred from attending on, is this democracy for the people, no it isn't, it just assists a political party to get through more issues the people would no doubt say no on?..EVERY TIME THERE IS AN OUTRIGHT WIN, THEN THE PEOPLE LOSE OUT!

So Stan wants an open council, he wants less decisions being made by a handful of people and often just one person as I have already said, by just having 8 cabinet councillors making decisions for you all, this then means that the residue of Party councillors are therefore ineffective if they belong to a political party, they just go to sleep, they've done their job in getting their party elected(just puppets, the leader is the puppeteer)...the leader uses them only to get the Party elected, after that councillors just attend meetings and nod, very often they are also told when to nod, unless their leader has given them something to say....you think I jest?..try a meeting one day and ask for an answer to a question out of the blue that's never been asked before, the councillor is stuck and if/she does answer, it will take you no where.

COUNTY COUNCILLOR AND LEADER GEORGE LORD DECIDES HE WILL USE TAXI'S TO AND FROM HOME AT £50 A THROW!-HE WILL NOT US A CAR, BUS, TRAIN, SAYS IT'S JUST NOT DONE FOR A MAN OF HIS POSITION?-BY SAYING THIS, HE HAS ALREADY TAKE THE HIGH POSITION AND THIS IS THE WAY THE REST OF IT GOES ON YOUR SERVICES AND THE COSTS.

So what do we do then Stan?

Voting in a non party councillor means, that Independent can answer every question you put to him/her there and then and on the spot!-that means it's completely open as it should be. You have an issue like green bins should come with the council tax you already pay, okay, Stan stands up and makes it known, Stan will also ask for a petition to bolster the question when asked....I will even go further to lobby opposition to sign petitions, but as I said previously, party councillors must do as they are told, not to gives them a 6 months suspension from office, continue to ignore their leader of their party and next election they would be barred from being a candidate altogether, yes it's threats all the way and i know I've been part of it!

I asked for support here in Romsley not to pay for the green bin, out of 480 houses, 43 paid!-now if everyone did the same throughout the district/county, then the council would have to realise that these people mean business, but you would not get a Tory councillor do as I have done, why is becuase the Tory council agreed to this and if a Tory councillor went against it, he's suspended....THAT'S HOW YOU ARE REPRESENTED??

We need not to have a cabinet where crafty dealings are made, forced voting and threats flying around that you must vote for or against on.....political party wrangling is the name of the game! Many councils work very well in a colalition mode, that is a shared administration, that way it is open, but only if you get more independents elected. Independents are not all right wing, try me for example, anything right wing about me, read the web site, anything in their?...But before you vote, ask what your council will do for you, no good then don't vote for them!

No decisions made by me without the constituents discussing it first, we do it regularly here in Romsley with petitions galour, fun, but democratic that gets the flavour of how the community feels, ever heard of a Tory/Labour councillor asking this?

Now take part on my mock election to give a feel and flavour to what can happen on 4th June 2009.

sincerely,

Stan Francis
